Can PVC pipe be used for indoor plumbing?

It depends on what you want to use it for. PVC pipe is approved by the building codes for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) pipes, but not for water distribution inside the walls of a house. To learn why, see our blog post Why can't PVC be used for water pipe inside a house.
