Each side of a double-wide manufactured home has its own Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), also called the Manufacturer’s Serial Number. The same alpha-numeric sequence is used for both sides, except that the sequence will end in the letter “A” for one side, and end in “B” for the other—stamped in the steel undercarriage I-beams.  A single-wide mobile home will have only one number and, of course, a triple-wide will have a third with a “C” in the title. Although the VIN numbers are sometimes listed separately in title work, they are combined on the data plate in the home, as shown below.
