Can you put a zone 1 mobile home in Florida?

Unfortunately, no. All of Florida up to the Georgia line is designated for Wind Zone 2, except the southern quarter of the state, which is Wind Zone 3 as shown in the map below.
You can, however, relocate a Florida mobile home rated for wind zone 2 or 3 to a wind zone 1 area in another southern state. Although you cannot initially install a Zone 1 rated mobile home in a higher rated zone, there is a “hardship” exception allowed for an existing Zone 1 or pre-1976 mobile home that is forced by circumstances to relocate.
