Who can certify a roof in Florida?
Saturday, February 29, 2020
The following building construction professionals, if licensed in Florida, can do a roof inspection and complete a “Roof Condition Certification Form.” This form is often requested by insurance companies as a prerequisite to issuing a policy for a home for an older home or a home with an older roof.
1) A general, building, residential, or roofing contractor.
2) A building code inspector.
3) A registered architect.
4) A professional engineer.
5) A building code official who is authorized by the State of Florida to verify building code compliance.
6) A home inspector.
