How often should you relevel a mobile home?
Thursday, April 2, 2020
A mobile home in Florida on a standard stacked-block foundation should be releveled every 3 to 5 years. If you live in an area with frost heave, you may need to do it as often as every year or two.
Homes with a slab or deep foundation only need to be leveled if you notice problems. Go to our article What are the signs that a mobile home is not level? for more on this.
There are leveling instructions for do-it-yourselfers on several websites around the internet, but if it involves more than just tightening the shims at a couple of piers, this is not something we recommend that you tackle unless you have experience with mobile home foundation repair.
Also, see our blog post Why is it important that a mobile home stay level throughout its lifetime?
