Is there more radon near the floor or ceiling of a house?
Saturday, May 8, 2021
"Radon gas is approximately 7.5 times heavier than air,” according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). So it will naturally collect near the lowest level of a home if the air remains undisturbed. But most homes have a forced air heating and cooling system, which pulls the radon into the air flow and distributes it around at all levels each time the system is activated.
