What is the minimum soil cover over septic drainfield lateral lines in Florida?

The minimum soil cover over septic tank drainfield lateral lines is 6-inches, according to the Florida Administrative Code 64E-6.014(5)(f), Standards for Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems. The maximum soil cover is 30-inches. Shown below is an example of a drainfield lateral line in a septic mound that has become exposed due to soil creep from downhill erosion of the mound.
